A winters vision

Once upon a time many years ago I was blessed to look out of my window one early winter morning and seen a world dominated by snow. The rooftops were covered in blankets of snow and the ground was white everywhere.

The winter had begun and shown us its dangerous yet amazing beauty within snow. People were dusting off snow from their cars. A few skids of car wheels could be heard. Snow is romantic yet dangerous and exciting.

Smoke poured out from chimney to chimney and it was like a scene from Victorian England. A snow kissed scene from a yesteryear.

There was icicles hanging from the pipes and the gutters. The pond was frozen and children were daring to stand on the solid ice panicing in case they fell through into icy waters. It was a magical scene which even in the bleakest coldest of seasons there is beauty and amazement.

Everyone wore gloves and hats and scarves to keep warm. People walked their dogs in the silent winter weather. Their breaths appeared from them like a steam engine. The winter morning was of wonder. I looked round and basked in the beautiful morning. Nature was silent and it had become outside a kingdom of Children.

Schools were closed and children stayed in the snow long into the day. All they had to do was enjoy life and play.

Laughter and fun filled the air, snowballs flying everywhere. Children built snowmen and enjoyed the snow in their hands. A winters walk of romance for others and the white glass of ice under their feet.

Snow clung onto the trees and hung onto the rooftops. The sky turning white just like the canvas on the floor.

A Robin pecked at the ice in a bird bath. It was a wonderful scene.

Its a magic time on a magical day from my own history which the memory has always stayed with me.

The beauty of winter, the creeping early winter night, Heralds the arrival of the coseyness of the firelight,

The darkness of Winter, with the cold chill in the air, warmly lit houses everywhere,

Oh the sombre of winter, quickly setting on the horizon does the sun go, soon you will embrace us with your hazardous yet beautiful snow,

Oh the darkness of winter, I feel your hostile frosty glare, your bitter cold presence, yet you install romance everywhere,
Oh everywhere you have wrapped in your blanket of frost, Cold yet amazed by winter, in this beauty I am so lost,

Oh the sombre winter, how I love to be safe and warm at home, by the fireside, away from you winter my old foe who I have always known,

Oh the darkness of winter, of your dangers I am all to aware, icey roads everywhere,
But tonight winter my old foe, upon this night,

Be sure I am safe under the cosey warmth of wonderful firelight

The Conservatives Crisis

The Conservative party is in absolute chaos. Surely their reputation has never been so shattered in many many years.

The Conservatives are a group of people where only money matters and people do not. They are group where they benefit and work to please the rich and the poor do not matter. In fact the everyday people are just in the way of their end goal to be as rich as sin.

When a government becomes obsessed with money and doesn’t wish to listen to its people then it is not a government at all.

When a government doesnt in accordance with the will of the people and does what it wants then it is not democracy but a rogue government.

What kind of government and people would turn down the idea of sprinklers in high rise apartment blocks because its too expensive even after the Grenfell Tower fire. I was under the impression money can be replaced and re-earned but human lives cannot.

Have the conservatives brought anything or anyone to justice since the Grenfell tower?  No they have brushed it under the carpet and nothing is said of it anymore. The people are silenced and drip fed lies of everything as usual.

Cutting corners and placing dangerous cladding on high rise apartments to save money is money fuelled decisions over people. What else have Theresa May and these morons actioned to save money?

The conservatives are fuelled with dangerous hypocrisy and stupidity. They to the media care for people in pretence and against terrorism but it is they who fuel the rebels of many.

How can anyone vote or trust Theresa May as the primeminster?  She is too weak and foolish to be primeminster. She reminds me of someone’s annoying foolish middle ages annoying aunty or someone who should be arranging flowers at church.

The woman cannot run a country I wouldn’t even have faith in her to run a bath. If she did manage to run a bath she would be indecisve if she should have one or not.

A true leader has the faith of all the people. Theresa May has got no faith placed in her at all. She is steering the UK into a political iceberg.

A true leader would grant the UK a second referendum as the last one was a political farce. The last one was built on no campaign of either side except stupid quotes. The conservatives can see the UK falling apart, that England is dividing and they do nothing. They do nothing to heal the foreesable rift of leave and remain in the EU. Pretending and lying to the many by saying they are leaving the EU but extending their stay for two more years… Then two more and so forth.

How anyone can trust these fools I mean look at Boris Johnson. He is not all there in his head he shouldn’t be making big decisions and in control of peoples lives and money. He is a fool and an idiot and I wouldn’t trust him with anything at all. This man is threatening to run for Primeminster and has made himself rich from Brexit and its mindlessness.

It is the conservatives who are money makers. They take child tax and working tax benefits from the poorer families and less fortunate so they cant feed their children and give it to the rich and the elite. Money talks and greed flows free within the conservatives.

Theresa May is a fan of fox hunting aka animal cruelty. How can you vote for such a cold heart?  If she doesn’t care for animals she has no heart and therefore no heart or empathy towards the real people.

The conservatives as of late have shown weak they are, how untrustworthy they are, what liars they are and how corrupt they are.

All of a sudden it turns out all the conservative MPs are all sex pests. How many are going to be accused of sexual harrassment now?  I have changed their name to ‘con’pervy tits’ as the party is full of such actions and people. Non of these men should have any power over anyone. They are dirty creepy individuals who dont care for women and equality and think they are too powerful for people to report them. What is Theresa May as a woman willing to do about it as a woman even though her cabinet ministers plot against her… Nothing. She is weak.

In a general election they are known as ‘cons’ which is appropriate as there certain is no pro’s for them just cons and cons is all they are doing to the general public.

The conservatives are lying to us with their promises,  the conservatives are ignoring the real will of the people and care not for people because they care just for money and to make themselves rich.

The Conservatives will happily see us as people die if it makes them rich in doing so. They call themselves a democracy but they dont care for people, they care for themselves. When a government talks about money over people and humanity then they are corrupt

They say they care for people yet millions are unemployed, they say they care for people yet thousonds homeless. Where is the end of all this?

This woman cares not for people and for children but for herself and the rest of the conservative capitalists determined on making money at the expense of everyone else and their struggle through life.

Dont vote for this shambles and embarrassment of a party who just seek to exploit the people and make themselves richer. Dont vote for this shocking disgrace of a party who has shamed British politics with its scandals.

Now is the time for a change and a revolution in Britain where the people matter and are priority number one.

Queen Elizabeth II: At life’s end

Love her or hate her Queen Elizabeth has held a long beautiful yet turbulent reign as Queen of the United Kingdom. She has weathered many storms in her life as a member of the royal family. She has faced hatred and anger over the years towards her family from the country and from Republican believers but her popularity is as strong as ever. She is the patron of over 600 organizations and charities. History shall remember her as a great queen.

She is the Diamond Queen,  of which the last two generations have only ever seen

She has brought the Royals into the modern day,  she has brought kindness to the world, she has faced many hardships, but nothing has stood in her way

For she is an English rose, she has been blessed and kind,  and of her dynasty the whole world knows

And she is as good as she could of been,  sailing through storms and back into the sun,  the Diamond Queen”

Elizabeth II  was born on 21st April 1926 and has been Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand since 6 February 1952. She is Head of the Commonwealth and Queen of 12 countries that have become independent since she became monarch including Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

HRH Queen Elizabeth has made many historic visits which include a visit to the Republic of Ireland which at one time was not imaginable due to hostilities. She has broken many barriers and created many friendships and granted freedom to many.

This is a picture of the Queen with Marilyn Munroe. She is well respected by many round the world.

She has seen major constitutional changes, such as devolution in the United Kingdom, Canadian patriation, and the decolonisation of Africa. She has reigned through various wars and conflicts involving many of her realms. She has been a figurehead and a beacon of hope to many and the protector of the faith.

Although she shall be remembered as a silent gentle queen who never gave interviews or expressed her opinion she shall be remembered fondly. The popularity of her is very high around the world and she is cherished by millions.

“The children won’t go without me. I won’t leave without the King. And the King will never leave.” – The Queen Mother during the war.

She grew up through uncertain times. She was only young during world war two and although people say she had it easy and would of been hidden away and well protected always remember that the Princess Elizabeth would of been a high priority capture on the enemies targets. That must and would play on the mind of anyone no matter who you are. At the end of the war in Europe, on Victory in Europe Day, Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret mingled anonymously with the crowds in the streets of London. Elizabeth later said in a rare interview,

We asked my parents if we could go out and see for ourselves. I remember we were terrified of being recognised … I remember lines of unknown people linking arms and walking down Whitehall, all of us just swept along on a tide of happiness and recovery”

The Royal family gather on the balcony of Buckingham palace to celebrate the victory of world war two along with Winston Churchill. Elizabeth can be seen on the left as the princess.
Most people of the modern generation will only know her as an old lady. But the Queen came to the throne as a young woman and took the world on her shoulders at a young inexperienced age and must of been hard for her at first. She was a powerful woman in a male dominated society. A society where had she of had a little brother he would of been king over her. The Queen held her own and shone through.

The Queen is a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. She cared for people and loved ones and relatives just like anyone else. she was cherished by her grandfather George V, and during his serious illness in 1929 her regular visits were credited in the popular press and by later biographers with raising his spirits and aiding his recovery. She did her best to take care of him in his time of need and raised his spirits.

Although the Queen has many doubters we must remember she didn’t ask to be Queen, it wasn’t her choice. She was born into the Royal descendancy.  The Queen wasn’t supposed to be Queen. Her father wasn’t supposed to be king. It was originally her uncle who was supposed to be king. But he abandoned the role of King Emperor due to the scandal of miss Simpson and the crown was passed onto the Queens father King George 6th.
The Queen is possibly the most powerful rich woman in the world and the longest serving monarch in British history and maybe even the world.

King George the 6th died of Cancer at the age of 52 and Elizabeth became the Queen of the United Kingdom.

Althought there are many doubters and many negatives to be said of the Royal family there are also many positives. She brings in much tourism to see Royal palaces and castles. She does much good for charities. I once knew a man who worked in Buckingham palace. He was full of praise for the Royal family and often mentioned the sense of humour of the Queen mother and Queen Elizabeth and you can tell that William and Harry have a sense of humour also.

What we must remember is the queen is no different to anyone else. She had been a baby,  a child, a mother and a grandmother just like anyone else. She had done a magnificent job of doing all this and attending to royal duties. Life hasn’t been as pleasant for the Queen as  many would believe.  She has headed and helped many charities. She has attended many meetings and worked for peace for many and independance of many countries. She did all this and travelled far for many years while raising four children.

This gets forgotten about and isn’t always brought to light. Not alot of people are aware of how hard she works. Can you imagine travelling often while raising four children?  This was something she had to do and not something she can easily walk away from. The pressure of being Queen must be immensely heavy.

The Queen does many Royal duties and unlike Diana who was right in the public eye the Queen slips through the net under the radar and does her duties without the worlds attention. She is a symbol for many.

The Queen has done a magnificent job of keeping the Royal family together through many storms. The aftermath of world war two,  the premature death of her father king George the 6th and the divorce of her son Charles and the great storm she faced after the death of Diana. There was a media campaign at one stage against the Royal family but the queen won through and has restored the faith in the monarchy.

She has reached many mile stones. She has become the longest serving monarch and has celebrated her silver, golden and diamond jubilee.

She has achieved plenty as Queen and has helped many. She has done a grand job of what life selected her to do. Now she reaches the age where she is at life’s end I believe she can look back and be proud of her achievements and all she has overcome. She has worked much harder than anyone can imagine.

Here is HRH Elizabeth with her great grandchildren. She has been blessed with family and just like anyone else she can be happy for belonging to a family.

At the age of 91 she can look back and know history shall remember her fondly and now she can enjoy the present of what she has such as her modern family which are a credit to her such as William and Harry and Kate Middleton who will bring in a new era.

So well done to the silent but great and golden Queen for all your devoted work. May God save the Queen. May she be long to reign over us as she has done to almost two generations and may her good work be continued going forward. May she enjoy the rest of her days at life’s end.
God save the Queen.

Magic Halloween

Halloween or all hallows eve has to be one of the most exciting times of the year. As the nights draw in we are greeted with Halloween. I love Halloween. It is such a funtime and exciting and dark, creepy and mysterious.

It is the day of the dead, the night of the spirits,  the acknowledgement of Paranormal forces. The witness and involvement in mainly evil entities and horror stories.

I used to love ghost stories. They enchanted me and listened intently. Hiding under the covers as a child and wondering if there is anything lurking in the dark or under the bed. Images of witches flying past the moon,  ghosts creeping up the stairs and vampires stalking their human prey for blood in the dead of night. The scaryness and darkness is what we all bask in on this dark night of mainly of evil entities. In history people used to use the scary face on the pumpkin to warn away evil spirits but now we bask in scary creatures of darkness and dress evil. Everyone dresses in the darkness of death and evil creatures outfits and make themselves look scary for fun.

‘As you walk home in the darkness of Halloweens magic spooky night,  while the full moon is big and bright

Keep your eyes out for the shadow passing of a witches hat,  and the shadow of a black cat

Listen for the evil laugh of a witch and the howling of her cat,  as she spells magic from her broomstick of which she is sat

As you wander through the dark you will hear the whisper of death at your side,  perhaps it is Dracula searching for his next bride

Look out for the eyes of red,  listen out for the sounds of footsteps on the stairs and the whisper of your name as you lie in bed,  perhaps it is the spirits of the dead’

The atmosphere of Halloween is amazing,  Candles take on a new meaning of magic candles and flames and people are excited for parties. Everyone has bought sweets for when children knock on the door for trick or treat dressed up as witches and Vampires and Skeletons. What a fantastic night. As a child I loved trick or treat and the thrill of knocking on peoples doors and gathering as many sweets as possible. It was a thrill when really young being out late for a child in the dark and meeting strangers.

It is a time when for a day you can become something or someone else and escape the everyday you. A time when decorating the house is amazing and exciting to make it scary and creepy for people and parties. I love carving the pumpkin. I love making the face on it and watching it glow with a candle in it.

This is one day of the year when all those people normally easily frightened by scary things come together to bask in this fun fuelled horror frenzy dressing up in scary dark outfits and party season begins. What a wonderful magical time.

Halloween reminds me mainly of the Witch. The Witch is a massive symbol of Halloween. Halloween is part of the ancient Pagan religion of which witches were priestesses of. The black witch and her black magic is notorious for Halloween and stories. Many people dress as a black Witch. Casting her evil spells and magic and potions. She enforces her magic upon unsuspecting victims flying on her broomstick in the dead of night. Witches operate by the ancient pagan religion and worship nature and the cycles of the moon. They know when the moon is at its strongest and weakest and cast spells by the moon and its many cycles. They know when it’s the winter solstice and celebrate it.

There are good witches who practice and worship nature peacefully and the evil witches we mainly know and hear about who practice sorcery, black magic and evil. Spells. Those who belong to a witches coven. The ones we know of from stories and scary films such as the Blair Witch project and the paranormal activity saga.

A witches black cat is in Western culture – a bad omen. If a black cat ever crosses your path you are supposed to be cursed with bad luck. It is a symbol of witchcraft and the occult. They are a witches companion.

Witches and cats are drawn together like a magnet. They are meant to be together. They are similar as in astute, wise and independent. When witch and cat are together the magic is stronger.

We are nearing that time of year when Hocus Pocus shall be on my tele. As mild Halloween films go this has to be one of the best for all ages to watch. The story of three Witch Sisters in Salem,  USA.  This is a fantastic little tale and brings out the essence of Halloween. Considering its technically Disney I really enjoy watching it. The story is amazing and you are kept watching all the way through as it is drama non stop.

In the UK we had the Pendle Witches.  I love the story of the Witches. There was a group of them who practiced Black magic upon Pendle Hill and were hunted and hung as Witches during the Pendle Witch trials. Their legacy lives on to this day and hasn’t been forgotten. Names like Old Demdike,  Chattox and Alison Devize are carved into dark evil English medieval history.  It is said Alison Devize met a peddler on the road and he refused to sell his pegs to her. So she cursed him with death. The Peddler died a few yards up the road. Dropping dead instantly.

Old Demdike was said to be in touch with the devil himself who often appeared to her as a boy and at times bit her to drain blood.

The Confession of Demdike

2nd April, 1612 (as recorded by Thomas Pott’s inDiscovery of Witches, 1613).

The said Elizabeth Southerns [alias Demdike] confesseth, and sayth; that about twenty years past, as she was coming homeward from begging, there met her near unto a stonepit in Gouldshey, in the said Forrest of Pendle, a spirit or devil in the shape of a boy, the one half of his coat black, and the other brown, who bade her stay, saying to her, that if she would give him her soul, she should have any thing that she would request.

The mystery of their history continues to this day.  You can go round Pendle visiting the town and haunted Grave Yard and farm and cottage where some of the witches lived. If you visit the cemetry in Newchurch it is said a black cat often sits on one of the graves of the witches buried there. Luckily for me my family wandered the sites while I spent afternoon and most of the evening in the Pendle Witch Inn pub (thats right I’m bad)

Do such things really exist?  Are there ghosts wandering through trapped between this world and the next?  Do creatures lurk in the shadows such as Witches and Warewolves and Vampires just stalking us home….Watching and waiting. Listen out for the creek of the staircase in the thick of night.

Vampires have always been feared in history and movies and are majestic yet seductive. The vampire desires our blood and wants sink his fangs into the necks of many to quench his thirst. In recent years vampires have become a favourite due to the Twilight saga and there has become a love and a romance in vampire love stories due to this trend. But be careful who we fall in love for because the vampire is dark and seductive.

We must remember the roots of Halloween as an ancient Pagan festival. Worshipped as a day when people believed at Witching hour the spirits of the dead returned to the living for one hour. People traditionally used to set a place at the table for their loved ones who were supposed to return. During Witching hour it is believed that the veil is at its thinnest between this world and the spirit world. Can you imagine if such a thing took place and the spirits did return. Perhaps they do…

I have had a few ghost encounters over the years. Nothing obvious and possibly explainable. It is mainly noises, movements, shadows and whispers and dreams.

One night I dreamt of my grandad. He was a shadow and he was walking off into a bright light. He turned and looked at me he was just all black. Then he began floating backwards arms out stretched into the light. I awoke as the phone was ringing. It was midnight and it was my nana. She was panicing as my grandad had just died in bed. Maybe this was co-incidence who knows. But to me it was real.

Another time I had a scary encounter at 5am. I was disturbed at this time by something and I remember opening one eye. A shadow of a man passed along the wall and I seen the back of him in the mirror as he came round side of bed. The next thing I know I couldn’t move. I could only move my eyes I felt paralyzed. He stared at me. He wore a brown 1940s suit and his head was slicked back and he had a pocket watch. I had never ever seen him before but to this very day I can remember his face.

These different events are what make the paranormal so fascinating to me. Many people are disbelievers but how can they deny so definately when the majority of people have a ghost story or know someone who does?  Perhaps it is a world we dont understand yet and personally I hope its never discovered as I love lifes mysteries it makes life exciting. Belief in a spirit world also brings comfort to many as we all hope to see our loved ones again someday.

If anyone has any ghost stories you shall have to let me know.

I hope everyone has an amazing beautiful spooky Halloween and a fun fright filled night.

Modern Slavery

Slavery when you hear about it is something from the depths of the past. But it isn’t. In fact it is worse than ever.

In every country slavery is still happening and happening to many people. There is an estimated 40 million people involved in slavery.  People are being taken from one country to another to work as slaves against their will. They are being sent away from their homes and families and most of them will never see their families again. This has to stop. This is a cruel evil act against humanity. No one with a heart would ever do such a dispicable act to another. This is humanity at its worse.

Here in the UK unknown to the majority of the British public slavery is happening in every single city. People from abroad are being smuggled in by human and sex traffick gangs and sold as slaves and forced to live and work in poor conditions. The majority of people being smuggled and sold as slaves are mainly women and children. 99% of people slaved in the sex trafficking business is women and girls.

How can we allow this suffering and torture happen to children?  How we can allow them to face such a fate?  Children being exploited as labourers and workers. Forced to work long hours on farmlands and doing heavy lifting and hardwork.  Some children are forced into marriages. We must stop this. They deserve a proper chance in life and a proper childhood.

This is a brief story of a man in Niger

“I was never treated like a human being, but instead I was treated like a machine, or a donkey that had to be beaten to make it work harder. Beatings and verbal abuse were routine for me.”

Tatinatt, former slave in Niger

Imagine if it was you. You are in your homeland. You live with family and see them often. They love and care for you and you care for them. Then one day it all changes. You are kidnapped by a gang and taken away from everything you love. You are taken far away to a land you do not know and sold as a possession. Your livimg conditions and treatment is poor and you are beaten as punishment. You are made to do jobs no one else would want to do by choice and sleep in physical ropes. If not physical chains then your soul is chained. Imagine the fear and fright knowing you wont see your family again. You are working long difficult hours doing difficult chores. There is no human rights for you. They no longer apply. You are at the mercy of your ‘owners’. Can you imagine such a terror? I am sure most of us have seen the film taken and get the kind of idea of what is happening to many girls and women.

This is a common crime which faces mainly women and children being smuggled round the world and raped, tortured and sold as possessions. They are being sent away for money far away. They are treated disgusting. Locked in rooms and made to sleep on basically next to nothing. They are controlled and owned.  They will never feel freedom again.

Many Young girls are used as sex slaves in the sex trafficking industry. They are forced against their will to commit indecent acts with many men in one day. They are often drugged and sedated and sold as nothing to anyone, These are peoples daughters. These are peoples sisters. Just like your own daughters and sisters. Men when you watch sex videos and images on your devices of naked girls etc which you enjoy how do you know these girls are not being forced to do these images and videos for your pleasure to make another man money? You could be enjoying watching slavery taking place instead. Not all the girls are there by free will. You could be funding sexual slavery.

This has been happening all through human history. We all thought slavery was abolished but it hasn’t and never has been. The people who are being taken as slaves are just people being taken from their homeland. We all know the story of the poor African Americans in history taken to America and enslaved for 100s of years. They are just people and deserve to be free.

Slavery exists on many forms it has just become so the normal we choose to accept it as the normal. How many of us work long hard hours and at the end of it get little back in return? How many of us are taxed so greatly we are left with not alot to show for the work we have done?  We work hard and are left with not alot at the end of the day. Does your job and effort reflect the pay you get honestly?  Do you ever feel like a slave or a prisoner working hard for others who dont appreciate it?  We have all become slaves in society and only a select few benefit from it. How many of us are in debt because we needed help to pay the bills then have to work longer hours and weekends and give up all your free time to pay a debt back?  This is slavery which most of us face without realizing. Your life belongs to them who you are in debt.

Have you ever wondered who makes the clothes you wear? Have you ever wondered how much they got paid and how many hours they worked to make them? In places in Asia I am aware there are people working long hours for next to nothing money for companies who supply the West with toys and clothes and equipment. Here this is a bleak life for them as they come away with nothing to show for such hardship. But for them the hardship is normal. Companies in UK are moving there operation centres abroad to employ cheap labour. In other words they are saving money but making people work harder for less expense to them.

We all live somewhere. We may all think we might live in a nice area but no one truly knows what is happening behind closed doors. Have you ever seen or noticed unusual behaviour of people?  As we dont realize slavery still exists we dont look for the signs that someone might be a victim.

When will mankind open its eyes to the suffering of the world?  When will it stop?  If we all want to make a change this can happen. The core majority of people in this world are good people. They possess heart and soul and dreams same as anyone else. They want love and peace and family. This is humanity. This is where the beauty is. Lets make this beauty win through and humanity conquer all.

May humanity win through in the end. May all human hearts be free.

A broken heart

A few weeks ago I visited Prestatyn beach in North Wales. I go here quite often I find it quite relaxing especially around dinner time of an evening towards sunset. There are a few people about walking the dogs on a nice walk. Its quite reflective.

But one evening I was greeted by the sounds of something I dont hear often or at all – a grown man crying his eyes out….

I sat on the steps overlooking the beach and the sea. Behind me was the car park. I sat gazing out to sea enjoying the sunset when I heard a noise behind me which alerted me. The sound of sobbing. I turned round and seen a man sat in his car. He had his hands over his eyes. At first I thought he was rubbing his eyes. I looked back out to sea again. Then I heard sobbing again.

I turned round to see the man crying heavy. Tears ran down his face and he wiped them away. He gazed at his phone and burst into tears again. He wiped them away but the tears fell fast.

I paused as it was one of them moments where I didn’t know what to do. Should I go and see if he is OK?  Or is that intruding on his grief? I decided to leave him to grieve alone. Im not one for sharing troubles so I decided not to interfere.

He sat and looked round the place and his emotions settled for a minute. He checked his phone and once again began to sob.

What could reduce a man to such tears?  I could tell this wasn’t an argument. This man had very recently suffered a tragic loss. As he was alone I assumed he had just lost his girlfriend/wife. He wasn’t an old man I would guess in his forties. He gazed round and cried again.

I wondered was this a special place for them over the years?  Had they strolled hand in hand together here over the years down the sea front along the promenade? Had nature been cruel and brought an end to an era?  He was now alone with just memories and pictures on his phone.

I felt sorry for him. Here is everyone happy going about their lives unaware of the heartbreak people near by must be going through. I couldn’t imagine the heart ache he must be experiencing. I sat close by I tried to smile briefly if he looked my way. He was too wrapped up in sadness and memories.

This went on for ten minutes. He started his car engine had a quick glance along the seafront sobbed again and left. I watched him drive away. Was this a final goodbye I wondered. A chapter in his life of coming here to such a sentimental place possibly had come to an end.  His world had fell apart.

I hoped he was alright as he drove off. He probably was returning to an empty lonely house full of sadness,  pictures and memories. I couldn’t imagine going to bed alone to a cold mattress knowing that person should be there. His world clearly had fell apart and his soul forever tortured.

So I sit and wonder while I am happy – how many people out there have suffered the same sadness and I gave them a thought. It goes to show we must enjoy our lives while we can.

Perhaps places we go to us are nice and simple basic places but to others it could be a magical place with such memories to them and others. Places of love and happiness and sentiment. I have special places to me that hold meaning.

So if you have a special someone and a special place make the most of it. Tell them often you love them and enjoy your magical place together for times goes by on the blink of an eye…

The death penalty

“If you must break the law do it to seize power,  in all other cases – observe it” – Julius Cesar.

This is a topic which is often raised with those for it and those against.  Into the subject goes morality and ethics. Should the death penalty be allowed?  Should it be re-instated?  Is there warrant for it?
In my own personal opinion I believe there is a warrant for it.  I often hear on the radio of murders and serial killers and horrific crimes and its very upsetting.  Often these sick crimes are rewarded with hardly any kind of a punishment.  How is prison a punishment in these days?  They get to stay safe indoors in nice enough conditions and get priviledges and some even get computers. Why are these people being given anything?  They should be made to exist in the worse of conditions.

Once I visited Beaumaris jail on the isle of Anglesey.  This was a jail in the Victorian times and is now a tourist attraction.  As soon as I walked in I could feel the tight suffocating atmosphere. I could instantly tell suffering had took place here for any crimes.  The rooms were small and some with no windows. The inmates had to work hard just for their breakfast.  They were punished hard if stepped out of line.  How have prisons changed so much that inmates are now seen having fun and drinking and mobile phones sneaked in unnoticed.  What kind of places have prisons become where it is acceptable to be in and not too much hardship?  Where the life is OK. Prisons should be feared. They should be a place where human rights for murderers is hard to come by.

Some will say its inhumane to execute them.  But where was their humanity and humane views when they took innocent lives?  These people are exempt from humanity.  They are not apart of it.

They should be wiped out and took out of life so we don’t have to care for them. This will free up space in prisons with people of lesser crimes. This will save the tax payer paying to keep them and the money can be put towards a good thing instead of useless to society monsters.

People say ‘oh killing them is an easy way out for them’ but I dont care.  I dont care about that I want them gone and no longer a threat to anyone and not allowed to live. They take up space and time and money. If I murdered someone I would expect to lose my life and why not?

If someone had murdered someone close to me I dont see jail as justice not in the modern day.  When has society become so weak it is scared to punish such evil? What kind of society do we live in where murderers can still have their life and live it out in an OK environment protected by laws and human rights after they took a life away?

Surely human rights shouldnt apply to these people.  They opted out when they disrespected the human rights of others.

Recently it was on the radio of a man who killed a man in an unprovoked attack and punched him.  He died and the man who killed him got 6 years in jail.  How is 6 years justice for the victims family??  The victim got an eternal sentence.  His life was ended!

He faces a small punishment then walks back into civilization to enjoy his life and see friends and family etc.  Whereas his. Victim is gone forever… He has murdered someone.  What if he does it again?

I know in certain situations we must be careful incase there isn’t much evidence but one concrete evidence where is the issue with putting monsters down? Imagine if one of these people escaped..

Some will argue that these people can be rehabilitated and helped but for what purpose?  They can never be released and allowed back into society.  They can never be allowed a normal life.  What is the point in wasting resources on these people?  They knew what they were doing when they broke the law.  So if you cant do the time dont do the crime.  I understand rapists and thieves etc should be given second chances etc but murderers especially cold brutal murderers should be put to sleep.  Im not refering to accidental murder as in manslaughter etc because that is just unfortunate.  There are situations where you might accidentally kill someone etc and thats fair enough its unfortunate but intended murder is evil.  Child murderers are evil etc why are they allowed to continue?  The yorkshire ripper for example costs the British taxpayer alot of money a year to house him etc why bother?  He cant be free. Can the money not be put to a more useful cause?

Society needs to be stricter on those who operate outside its core.  Outside the mainstream of society which operates nice behaviour and compassion.  Why should nice people be put at risk?

Perhaps knowing you will die too will make murderers think twice.  Everyone knows murder is wrong.  The only regret some of these murderers have is being caught.

But we all have our own opinions on this naturally.  Mine is to keep society such as our children truly safe…
