My Trip to Devon

I have just returned from Devon in south England. I never knew Devon was so beautiful and amazing.

Luckily for me this week just happened to be during a rare heatwave in the UK which reached 30 degrees and made the holiday more enjoyable. The seaside and beaches were just like being abroad. The beautiful blue Waters gently lapping against amazing beaches.

On my travels I visited Ilfracombe. Ilfracombe is a small town with an amazing Harbour, beautiful views and a great history. The edge of the pier is popular with kayakers and rowers and windsurfers just off the pier. The waters were calm and peaceful. The locals were happy and content with their home.

Upon the top of a Hill in Ilfracombe harbour is an old church dating back to 1300. It is an ancient house and a chapel with amazing sea views. It must of been a great isolated beauty spot in history to of once lived in.

Ilfracombe ia definately worth a visit if you ever travel to Devon. Here is a very English feeling and a deep beautiful surviving English culture. There is a beautiful fishing town and wonderful views to experience. The town centre is fantastic with beautiful coves and churches to view.

Out to sea overlooking the Coast is the statue of a pregnant woman raising a sword symbolising truth and justice in Britain. This has to be one of the nicest places I have ever been a recommend it to anyone to visit.

The winding roads of the coast presnt you with much of Englands green and pleasant lands and the mix of nature and history. Castles and monuments scattered around beautifully and flying the union Jack.

Woolacombe also has plenty of beautiful views and amazing Sandy beaches. Woolacombe sands beach is the most famous popular beach in Devon for its vastness. Here are beautiful coastal roads overlooking the vast blue sea.

This is a picture below of a coast road on the way down the hill towards Woolacombe sands. The view was breath taking and just as beautiful as anywhere else in the world.

I love being by the sea, the waves lapping against the shore is like an echo of time and has done the same for eternity. Holidays are amazing times and a reminder that life is for memories.

This is a picture of a rock pool close to the sea in Croyde Bay. The water is beautiful and completely clear and warm. There are many rock pools when the tide is out scattered on the beaches of Croyde Bay. The rock pools in some places are warm as there is no fresh water so the water is great to paddle or sit in. The rock pool in this picture reached just below knee level.

I love sunset over the coast. It is a beautiful mix of colours and it is calm and peaceful. There isn’t alot on the horizon to hide the sinking sun as he makes himself scarce for the moon to shine. The red skies flickered across the coastal sky wonderfully.

Above is a picture of what looks like the sun in a sunset but it is infact the moon. Sadly it didn’t turn out as well on my phones camera and look amazing as the scene was in person. The moon danced in the red skies of sunset.

Within the westcountry of England is so much amazing wonder and culture to witness. Beautiful houses on clifftops overlooking the vast beautiful seas which surround England.

How I shall miss the beautiful blue waters as I return to my reality and real life. How the calmness filled me and relaxed me at the seaside. How I shall miss the wonderful Westcountry and its echantment.

If you are heading south to Devon there is a great farm shop services on the M5. It is built into a Hill and has nice places to sit outside. On a day of blue skies and warmth everything is wonderful and everywhere is great to be at. Places are enjoyable and the people we meet are much happier.

This is a picture of the nice view round the back of the farm shop with a nice waterfall.

Overall my holiday was a success and Devon is a beautiful place in England that I recommend to anyone to visit. This lovely are of Britain shows a true reflection of England both past and present and is an English paradise.

Sadly holidays come to an end but the places and people remain in the memories of others forever. Moments and holidays last a lifetime and may we all enjoy them.
